This kōtare holds his post on driftwood above the tide line, still and watchful. Māori gave his name to the sentry platform of a fortified pā, in tribute to that same quiet vigilance.

Each print includes a white border containing Francine's embossed signature, giving you the choice when framing to include the emboss within the aperture, or frame tight to the image and leave the border behind the rebate, either is entirely appropriate.
